Twice this week!

Yep. You can trust me to blog twice in a week if I have something new that I feel the need to tell you about!

We can now offer the old style Photobooth strips, in black & white or colour. Using paper in the printer that is twice as large as normal, we print two strips down the paper simultaneously. It adds a little work to our job as we have to trim them in half but you end up with the real classic sized strips. Only available with the Guestbook option I’m afraid as we are unable to print a single strip at a time. For me it’s not really an issue as the Guestbook is the very essence of the Photobooth providing such a great record of your event.

To add to the classic photobooth strips we can now print extra large
8″x 6″ prints that include up to eight images. It does add quite a bit to the cost as the materials are so much more expensive but it’s a great new option. I will price it over the weekend. Take a look at the new extras page on the Rentabooth website…

We had a blast!

We shot Sarah and Ryan’s wedding yesterday at a very quaint and beautiful hotel near Maidenhead. Not only did they have the Ruby package from the Pixels ‘ price list they also had the Photobooth! We were incredibly lucky with the weather and the rain managed to stay away until pretty late last night. The wind was very cold and Sarah with bare shoulders braved it for long enough to get some fabulous shots of the two of them.

Here is a shot taken around 11.00pm to give you an idea about how hard we work!

Naturally I can’t just leave it without showing a few of the Rentabooth images. A little glamour…

A couple of youngsters embracing the fun of the Booth.

And a couple just having some slightly inebriated fun! They may have been totally sober as far as I know. The Photobooth has that effect… Sue, Sarah’s mum, was proud to announce that she went into the booth with various friends and relatives four times!

In the end everybody had a whale of a time and it was the first time that we have used the latest software for the Photobooth that I have been testing for a few weeks. It worked flawlessly and the experience of the people going into the Photobooth has been enhanced in a big way.

We do offer black & white in the Photobooth!

I have made a few changes to the Rentabooth website in the last day or so to make a bit more of a feature of the black and white service that we offer. I noticed that potential clients looking for the retro look by searching for a black and white Photobooth, were not taking a really good look around the site. It set me thinking that maybe they were moving on elsewhere because they didn’t see any black and white examples.

We now have a black and white gallery page to show you how your images will look if you go for the black and white option.

Here is the link to the page:

Slightly off topic, but highly relevant with the reliance that we now place on computers and technology. How many times have you backed up the data and numbers on your mobile telephone? My friend lost her mobile phone last week and, as it turns out, she had never made a copy of any type of any of the numbers in it. Her whole life was in that telephone!

I am a bit if an Apple fanatic and I have owned an iPhone from the day they became available. The elegant looks of the iPhone and the ease of use makes it one of the best products of the last decade. Very closely behind is the way it synchronises with your computer. Every time I charge the batteries in the iPhone, iTunes pops up and backs up all of the data from the phone to my computer and back the other way.

Not only does it backup up the phone numbers, addresses, texts and emails it synchronises all of the music too. If you use a Mac it adds phone numbers etc both ways. If I add a phone number and address to my computer or to the iPhone when I’m out and about, it synchronises the data both ways so that the computer and iPhone carry the same details. It is excellent and the icing on the cake means that I can now carry my calendar with details of all of my wedding and Rentabooth bookings. A very handy feature that I will make full use of!
